We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Kitchen team as a full-time, permanent Chef de Partie. Our brigade of chefs are committed to producing good quality dishes using the freshest ingredients sourced locally for our award winning Signature Restaurant.

The ideal person;

  • Someone who has at least 1 year experience in a Demi or Chef de Partie role in a formal or fine dining environment.
  • Excellent guest focus with a real passion for hospitality.
  • Someone with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills with a high level of English speaking and listening skills.
  • Clearly understands how the role contributes to the success of the restaurant
  • Able to build effective and constructive relationships
  • Ability to maintain a good level of understanding of the hospitality industry
  • Work collaboratively with others in pursuit of team goals.

Job Specific Accountabilities;

  • Ensure that dishes are prepared and cooked according to the specific restaurant standards.
  • Managing the development and supervision of the Commis Chefs, ensuring they are fully trained and understand their duties.
  • Ensure that stock is rotated and controlled within the specific section of the kitchen.
  • Ensure the cleaning schedule is adhered to and that cleaning tasks are delegated as appropriate.
  • Ensure full understanding of the functional administration of the restaurant.
  • Maintain a detailed Knowledge of the full menu and be able to explain dish descriptions.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements under the H&S act 1974 and Food Hygiene.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines are carefully adhered to
