With the Covid-19 Recovery Roadmap in place, we look forward to the Southampton Regions Hoteliers planned re-openings

We’re sure many of you are counting down the days until you can enjoy venturing out again and starting to book fun times! Southampton is the perfect place for a staycation, there’s so much to see and do for all ages and if you are local and looking to dine out or meeting with a handful of friends, keep reading to find out when our hotels will be reopening and what is on offer.

What’s the latest guidance from the Government?

From 12th April:  Self-contained accommodation and Indoor leisure facilities will reopen. Hospitality venues will be serving people outdoors.

From 17th May: Leisure accommodation and indoor hospitality will reopen. 

21st June onwards: Limits of social contact lifted

Solent Hotel and Spa are opening their bedrooms for essential travel, outdoor alfresco dining area, meadow bar and Spa with treatments from 12th April. The remainder of the hotel is planned to reopen on 17th May.

Mercure Southampton Centre Dolphin Hotel is opening their self contained rooms (pictured left) from the 12th April with a continental grab and go breakfast. A delicious pizza menu will be available 24/7.  The remainder of the hotel is planned to reopen on 17th May.

Holiday Inn Eastleigh has been open throughout for essential business travel and key workers. They continue to offer a “Select & Go” takeaway breakfast which includes continental items and a hot English breakfast box. Room Service dinner is served directly to the room. From 17th May, the hotel Restaurant and Bar will fully open inline with Government guidelines.

Novotel, ibis and ibis budget in the city centre will be open to the public from 17th May for both accommodation and to enjoy dining and drinks.

room2 Southampton is currently set to open to staying and hospitality guests on May 17th with access to the Living Room. 

The Potters Heron will fully reopen on the 17th May for accommodation, food, refreshments and private dining for special occasions.

Rhinefield House Grounds and Gardens officially open on the 12th April, and will be utilising their extensive grounds and multiple terrace areas to offer a varied selection of dining styles.
Breakfast & Brunch – 8am to 12pm served via the Conservatory and popular Fish Pond & Fountain terraces
Afternoon Tea – The much anticipated return of their classic sweet and savoury Afternoons Teas will be served 12pm to 6pm, in stunning alfresco surroundings. Lunch & Dinner – 12pm to 9pm – enjoy alfresco dining prepared by the Chefs from their fabulous Conservatory Restaurant
Quick Drinks Terrace – treat yourself to a quick coffee, a glass of wine or a cheeky cocktail – 10am to 9pm via the Kings Terrace.
‘Private’ alfresco dining options will also be available from the 12th April. Whilst still to be fully confirmed, these ‘Glamping’ and ‘Garden Temple’ inspired packages will focus on a variety of gourmet ‘Picnic’ & ‘BBQ’ options, as well as an Afternoon Tea option. They continue to offer the takeaway service.

Holiday Inn Winchester continues to be open for key workers, with the gym reopening on the 12th April and an outside area for drinks and refreshments. The full re-opening of all areas is planed from the 17th May.

DoubleTree by Hilton Southampton continues to offer accommodation for essential travel, grab & go breakfast and limited room service dinner menu until 17th May. With the hope to fully open to the public as of 17th May.

Elizabeth House Hotel is currently open for essential workers and 12th April will see drinks being served. Dinner will be available from the 17th May.

Chilworth Manor Hotel remains open for workers who require accommodation and from 12th April will be offering afternoon tea and a limited dinner/bar menu on the terrace (pictured right), 7 days a week. 17th May will see a full reopening, with indoor and outdoor table serviced dining and accommodation for all guests, regardless of purpose.

New Place is hoping to fully reopen and welcome all guests from 17th May.

Southampton Harbour Hotel, Spa and The Jetty restaurant will reopen on the 17th of May, the terrace at the HarBar on the 6th restaurant will open from the 14th of April.

Holiday Inn Fareham is currently open for work purposes only. They are planning on opening the Leisure Club with Gym and Pool facilities from 12th April. There will also be limited outside dining available  from 12th April.

Macdonald Botley Park Hotel Leisure and Spa will open from 12th April. As will Afternoon Tea served outside in the Sports Bar (13.00-17.00pm) with a full reopening expected for 17th May.

Jurys inn has remained open throughout the pandemic and is still accepting our key workers. They will open from 17th May for leisure pending Boris’ road map opening schedule going to plan!

Leonardo Royal Grand Harbour Hotel Southampton is reopening to key workers from 20th April and to leisure from 17th May.
